this video cut is a sketch i like to play with movement, repetition and motion my next step is to project these images small on miniature surroundings a blue movement
Hey I don't get anything from this, so that in itself triggers me to question, what do you get out of it? I guess the 'video art' is a whole new area to explore. Video art. Why is this: internet art, video art? I will dive in to art. And in to video. And then, see where they meet. I mean, i is there also Video craft, internet craft? Video hobby. Internet hobby. These media terms I don't know. Maybe i find this art thing a hard label on the whole. I would like to introduce Paint art, Clay art, Wood art. I am babbling on and on and on because this is monologue art ;-) I like the way it is posted, with the still black screen most.
you don't have to understand, that is not important, but i would like you to feel.
[One of the key differences between video art and theatrical cinema is that video art does not necessarily rely on many of the conventions that define theatrical cinema. Video art may not employ the use of actors, may contain no dialogue, may have no discernible narrative or plot, or adhere to any of the other conventions that generally define motion pictures as entertainment. This distinction is important, because it delineates video art not only from cinema but also from the subcategories where those definitions may become muddy (as in the case of avant garde cinema or short films). Perhaps the simplest, most straightforward defining distinction in this respect would then be to say that (perhaps) cinema's ultimate goal is to entertain,[citation needed] whereas video art's intentions are more varied, be they to simply explore the boundaries of the medium itself]
thanks for reply! Also for pippelotti post. I feel....stupid ;-) today I lack taking time to feel. i have this with this blog, express first thing comes to mind, really fast. why is it different I you found the post (on you tube) or made it yourself. For me it is. But I feel it shouldn't be (which is stupid self censoring) More and more I conclude that the artist and the work are (to be) reagrded as one. Or go hand in hand.
So. Not today, but tomorrow......I will come back, and I will be serene, and I will look again, and I hope I will (guess I will) FEEL
supa 8 is a beautiful medium much much richer image quality than vid. does the idea of a beamer projecting small image mean that the beamer itself is much bigger than the image it is projecting? a whole bunch of beamers projecting a whole bunch of small images onto a miniature blue surroundings..., curious! hehehe!
