  1. I just come from class about IDUM, Interaciton design Ustable Media the interaction direction to choose. So much about the (end) user and the notion that's a work is about the feedback it anticipates (n several steps) of other "persons". Now I see this work (him) and I think:
this is not " interactive", but still it is totally! This is what it is about.

I am not going to choose IDUM. It was a great informative meeting, and now I know.

  2. I have not been to the informative class you mentioned in your comment so I can have only a generalized idea of what you mean. But nevertheless permit me to react on a general level: "conventional", "interactive":
    - on a theoretical level even a "conventional" sculpture presupposes and depends on a viewer and the viewers ability to "read" the visual signs, forms and their possible symbolics, etc. to fulfill its own potential as an art work. (I know that this statement is a simplification but I don't think it is a useless one for the time being.) So one could say that there is interaction needed for the "conventional" art to be art and for now we suspend all discussion about administering and arbitrating those frameworks within which the viewer fulfills the predestined role of receiving and "reading" and… ("conventional" - as in: known, evaluated, accepted, blessed and dispersed)
    - on "interactive" pieces, as I have tried several times to point out I, myself, see problems with the term interactive… dynamic content is not truly interactive: "a chat-robot" will hardly never tell you that your are a troll and stop the chat based on that argument. For example it is there in the first place to convince you that it can chat… (technical proof like think of the need for "loading") and entertain. But a dynamic content page that asks you for input and based on that input something happens well there it becomes trickier to give you dumb examples: blog or augmented reality flashmobs… your input generates responses… and another important point to make is that that these dynamic content/ interactive devices are in development their "embedding" (email list, bulletin boards, blogs, social network sites or prosthetic limbs) and "use" is being evaluated and formed on the fly….
    - no i will not drink another coffee to go on but if anybody has questions I will try to answer them in class!
