its funny though how much respect a band gets just because it speaks out "the truth". the music business is a industry branch like many others . nobody espects a bank manager to be real. and why do i need to hear from die antwoord whas up in south africa? arent there better sources? i think theres a big need for authencity in POP. how does that work? mixing up entertainment with education? like KRS-ONE named it edutainment? i mean common are we so poor ? we have a bunch of other sources to get stuff from. or does it have to be filtered already. cant you read statistic numbers yourself, political analysis you get it yourself, right? its just another language to learn like hip hop slang! we not used to this hardcore disciplines anymore,,,we choose the bubblegum rhetoric of some outlaws from the jungle. what do they know? jus because they are confronting some teenies with "heavy" political discourses. i dont need black cnn or any kind of coloured pre-filter machine to get in touch with certain issues out there. i jus listen a song. a pop song. do i want to get teached by the lyrics? do i really care about their problems? do they really have some? travelling the world, convincing everybody how multicultural they are. we do strange pop music!! thats why i am suposed to be surprised to hear these things in a popmusic interview. this lady is having a hard time interviewing these guys, because she is not prepared like a student to get into deeper matter than sunshine, music & party. is it her fault?? is it her fault if die antwoord knows so much about this and that...and this lady can go like: "oh shit guys i didnt know you not into pop-music but into heavy political issues, whatever they"re about i have to go home to prepare myself better for the next time, because i thought this is a simple popstar interview and not a high-end avant garde talk..."
