Sony to cease walkman sales in Japan
After three decades and more than 220 million units, Sony has stopped selling its Walkman cassette player in Japan, the company said, admitting the gadget could not keep up in the digital age.

dead media! creating all sorts of black holes of information,,,looking at the walkman as some sort of media/art creating tool.the customer is the creator of his own world while using this device...now sony comes along an say hey i take you this thing away you cannot build your world with this device anymore(bad english sorrx!). use something else, bastard! imagine this would happen to a painter...NO MORE BRUSHES out there to buy !!!! uuuaaahhhh,,, the HORRORPAINTER would start his work or not...?
