True Love

Andy Warhol said: "All is pretty."

this picture is:

- pretty at least to the guy who did it
- stupid & primitive
- well & nerdly done (colours,frames,effects)
- ugly
- rude & nonchalant
- dearing (frame,clours,text)
- unpersonal (no visible will to express individuality)
- randomly created by choosing any girl (?)
- arbitrary
- reactionary in its sexual desire (woman = stuffed by a bottle = violated)
- missing critical view on gender issues
- flat
- reduced to what?
- postmodern trash (anything goes)
- freaky
- cheap & funny

Samuel Beckett wrote : "There is nothing to express, nothing with which to express, no power to express, together with no obligation to express."

this picture is:

- ok
- dadaistic because maybe no real picture
- nihilistic
- postmodern ( who is the author?)
- overdone & empty at the same time
- powerless
- free of reflection
- boring
- bad text = nothingness = more sillyness
- its emptyness & non - intellectuality is provoking
- violent & drunk
- funny but not funny
- scary
- lying & ironic

  3. ok, maybe this time i get through "right":will you analyze please this image, media and it's message? maybe mixture of a phenomena (whose figment of what imagination?) and a person?
be4 going any further - i know - poetic license demands the formulation "it"!

  4. - in the true spirit of say: collegefuckfest: sex as spectator sport for scoring points...
    - dull look at "my" right ear but into the camera: casual and submissive?
    - protagonist exercises for male spectator's gaze, maybe...
    - but was it really done by a guy?

  6. With my “gender” observation this image tries to provoke the rhetorical device for a need to express castration.
Isn’t this the metaphor of castration..(?)
a blond woman sucking a bottle as if it were a real penis.
This sexual invitation(together with all the text published by freedom…)is not even ambiguous.
It provokes sexual pressure as a hole.
On one hand it is flat and unsexy to the point where it becomes nasty and terrifying.
This invitation is therefore playing with frustration existing in male experiences fighting against castration.

And if sexuality is being repressed –in this case by castration, aggression can appear in many forms.
placing this image might be one of them..(?)

and placing the title "True Love" is the anti-humour and becomes ambiguous.

  7. great for this thread to point out the reversal potentiality inherent in all submission. i also agree with your analysis of the relation between title and image. last but not least there is the background noise behind the "depicted act" of deep throating… and the attempts to speak as they say sex positively about it.
